Each week we highlight some of the amazing work of our 49 college and high school chapters. This week we decided to take a different approach. We are highlighting one of our partners that help us deliver the promise of healthy futures.
Since 2011, the great people at Microsoft have been partnering with Timmy Global Health through two different avenues. Each year in October, Microsoft holds multiple fundraisers for Timmy. This year, two Timmy staff members travelled to Microsoft’s headquarters and attended a couple of their fundraisers, which were able to raise over $50,000 for Timmy Global Health. A remarkable effort by the staff at Microsoft, and we must thank people like Andy McGovern, who is a Timmy Global Health board member, and Mike and Christine Miles, who have served in the capacity of trip leaders since 2011, for putting these events on.
The other component of our relationship with Microsoft is a trip that the staff take each year. A team of Microsoft employees visits our partner sites in Misa, Ecuador. The team has helped serve the people in Misa since 2011, and has made a tremendous impact on that community in the time they have spent there.
We are thankful for our partnership with Microsoft, the money that has been raised for Timmy, and the impact that their annual trip makes. Timmy’s partnership with Microsoft allows us to strengthen our model and deliver the promise of healthy futures to more people. Take a look at some pictures from their trip below.
