Marianne Mabida

Timmy Fellow

Indianapolis, IN
A native of Las Vegas, NV, Marianne finds her way to the Midwest for the first time after four years of college in the nation’s capital.

Marianne discovered her interests in global health and development through her undergraduate coursework in public health. Her passion for the field was further cemented after her involvement with Peer Health Exchange, where she taught comprehensive health classes to students in underserved high schools in DC. She recently graduated from George Washington University, receiving a Bachelors degree in Public Health with a minor in Biology. During her time there, she loved volunteering with her community service fraternity, studying abroad in New Zealand, and interning for a non-profit for global reproductive health. For her senior thesis, she designed a case study to investigate the effects of climate change on mental health in her family’s home country, the Philippines.

Marianne is an outdoor enthusiast, sports fanatic, and is thrilled to begin her adventure in the Midwest starting with the Timmy Global Health team!
