Global Health Fellow
Leia grew up in Evansville, Indiana and attended DePauw University where she studied Global Health and Biochemistry. She graduated in May 2019 and immediately joined the Timmy team as a Global Health Fellow. While at DePauw, Leia was highly involved with student research, Greek life, and working for the Office of Admissions. Although Leia is new to the Indianapolis team, she has been involved with Timmy Global Health since her freshman year of college. At the time she had no idea how big of an impact Timmy would make on her life, but 2 Timmy trips later and Leia found herself fired up about global health and wanted to do something about the many health inequities that exist both locally and globally.
Two of Leia’s biggest passions are traveling and global health. In addition to her two Timmy trips to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador, Leia also spent a summer studying in France and a semester studying in Sweden. While abroad, Leia traveled to as many countries as she could because she loves exploring new places and meeting new people. Working with Timmy Global Health allows her to combine her two passions as she is able to travel and explore, as well as make a difference.
Leia is energetic about Timmy Global Health and when she is not working, you can find her listening to vinyl records on her vintage record player, going to concerts, traveling, or trying to spot cute dogs.
