Laura Limp

Director of Development and Communications

Indianapolis, IN

Laura has always had a passion for helping others and a desire to make a real impact in the world. As the Director of Development and Communications, she will not only be able to share the many stories of Timmy, highlighting the Latin American communities and patients, but the impact these trips have on improving global health outcomes. Laura’s role will also require her to raise funds, ensuring the Timmy team continues to live out its mission: “Timmy Global Health expands access to healthcare and empowers students and volunteers to tackle today’s most pressing global health challenges. To achieve this goal, Timmy sends medical service teams to support the work of international partner organizations and channels financial, medical, and human resources to community based health and development projects. Through our work, we strive to empower volunteers to lead the fight for global health equity and help deliver the promise of a healthy future – one patient at a time.”

Laura has extensive development and marketing experience with a variety of not-for-profits including the American Red Cross, the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites and most recently the International Center, in Indianapolis. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys traveling/history, music festivals, spending time with her daughter who is a sophomore in college and taking care of her fur-babies: Stella, Archibald and Loki. Currently, she doesn’t own one piece of clothing suitable for traveling to the Amazon, but will be visiting REI in her near future to remedy this!
