Community Nurse -Tena, Ecuador
A native to the Amazon Basin of Ecuador, Glenda is proud to serve as the Community Nurse and provide outreach to some of Timmy’s furthest populations. Glenda received her Bachelor of Nursing from the Technical University in Ambato. Before joining the Timmy team, Glenda worked for the Ministry of Public Health in the Napo region of Ecuador. During her time at the Shandia Community Health Center, Glenda worked with medical brigades where she was responsible for montioring patient health, vaccinating children, and providing home visits for follow up care with disable and pregnant women. Glenda also enjoys public health prevention work and has provided many educational lessons about sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention.
Glenda is honored to work with Timmy Global Health as the community nurse. She is excited to share her knowledge, skills, and abilities to further Timmy’s mission of creating access to healthcare and focus on the most vulnerable groups with scarce economic resources.
