Promoting Global Health Equity
At Timmy, we believe that addressing today’s most pressing global health challenges and ensuring that everyone has access to quality healthcare will require a combination of two things:
-Fostering sustained commitments to our communities, patients, and our amazing partner organizations on the front lines of providing quality healthcare to the underserved;
-Inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals and leaders to actively fight health disparities, tackle global health challenges, and promote health equity throughout their personal and professional lives.
Through our programming, Timmy does both. By supporting the missions of our partner organizations and complementing their work with short-term medical service teams, in-kind resources, and year-round funding, we seek to build their capacity, expand their outreach, and help provide quality healthcare to marginalized, underserved communities in the developing world.
And via outreach to students throughout the United States–the next generation of doctors, nurses, and public health professionals—we help inspire a movement of leaders who understand the active role they can and should play in transforming the lives of others.
